Mar 23, 2018

Last week we skipped Songs of the Week. Most of the music industry was in Austin for SXSW and thus few notable songs were shared last week, leaving us with not enough contenders to even put together a Top 5 we were truly excited about. So this week's Songs of the Week mainly covers this week, but has a few songs from last week, including the song that would've been our #1 last week if we'd done a list. Hence we have a Top 12 this week. More

Feb 23, 2018

It was a crazy good week for new songs. So much so that we could only narrow down this week's Songs of the Week to 12 tracks, as opposed to our normal 10. Speedy Ortiz almost made the list with "Lucky 88," the first single off their newly announced new album Twerp Verse, but then it would've been 13 songs and we gave into superstition.  More

Twin Shadow

On the Brink

Mar 17, 2012

Twin Shadow, aka Brooklyn-based songwriter George Lewis Jr., emerged in 2010 with the stunning debut LP Forget. Oct 14, 2010

George Lewis, Jr., aka Twin Shadow, is a Dominican-born small-town Floridian who found his way to Brooklyn, a sensible home for a multi-instrumentalist musician type accused of packing Phil Lynott's hair and Simon Le Bon's voice. Forget features Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor in the role of producer and label operator, no doubt an added turbo boost for this fashionable fella already circumnavigating the blogosphere. More
