Black Moth Super Rainbow
In celebration of their upcoming album Eating Us (out 5/26 on Graveface Records), Pennsylvanian psychedelic rockers Black Moth Super Rainbow are launching a unique promotion. Ten specially crafted record stands have been distributed to ten independent record stores across the nation. These stands will contain hairy copies of their new album, which is essentially a CD covered in hair. The band is also launching an American tour and staging a series of listening parties.

Set your cranial cortex for noise-disco because Los Angeles’ HEALTH are staging their triumphant return, with Get Color on September 8th. The Smell-affiliated group’s 2007 self-titled debut and critically-acclaimed remix record HEALTH//DISCO, already got the noisy quartet sweating across stages shared with the likes of Crystal Castles, Nine Inch Nails, and Of Montreal but last month’s phenomenal single “Die Slow” pointed at an eventual shift towards the group’s clamorous mutatation of disco music.

Los Campesinos!
Welsh indie popsters Los Campesinos! Have recently been recording their third album in suburban Connecticut with producer John Goodmanson at the Carriage House, the same studio where Pixies recorded Doolittle. “[We’re] experimenting with different sounds, a bit of electronics, extra instrumentation from people outside the band, which is really exciting,” said drummer Ollie in a recent interview with Under the Radar.

As reported over the weekend by The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly, NBC has given Chuck a third season. They have only ordered 13 episodes, instead of the traditional 22, but if it does well then an additional 9 episodes may be ordered. In another concession, the show’s producers have had to agree to cost-cutting measures, including eliminating some of the show’s cast.

Danger Mouse
Danger Mouse’s new project, Dark Night of the Soul, a collaboration with Sparklehorse and legendary film director David Lynch, has run into legal trouble with EMI and the release of its self-titled album has been delayed. It will now be released as a blank CD.
