Coldplay
Prince passed away at his home last Thursday and the Prince tributes and covers have been fittingly constant ever since. On Sunday Chris Martin of Coldplay performed at the Chords 2 Cure benefit concert in Santa Monica, CA in order to raise money for pediatric cancer research.

The iconic early ‘90s David Lynch TV show Twin Peaks is returning to screens in 2017 with a brand new season on Showtime to be co-written and directed by Lynch and to feature much of the original cast. Now the full cast for the upcoming season has been announced. The cast list includes returning favorites, some notable actors joining them, and some musicians who have also surprisingly been added to the cast.

Thomas Cohen was formerly the frontman for London’s S.C.U.M, who released a promising debut album, Again Into Eyes, on Mute in 2011 but then split up in 2013. Now Cohen is releasing his first solo album, Bloom Forever, on May 6 via Stolen Recordings. Today he’s shared another song from the record, “Ain’t Gonna Be More Rain.”

Over the weekend the BBC announced that Pearl Mackie will be joining the cast of Doctor Who as the new companion, Bill. She was revealed in a new especially shot scene featuring Bill and The Doctor (played by Peter Capaldi) facing off against his most dangerous foes, the Daleks.

Prince passed away at his home last Thursday and the Prince tributes and covers have been fittingly constant ever since. On Saturday night Bruce Springsteen opened his show at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center with a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain,” the title track to his 1984 album (also the soundtrack to the film of the same name).
