Last month, Sup Pop lost vice president Andy Kotowicz to a tragic car accident. He left behind his wife and baby daughter. Recently Sup Pop bands put together a tribute concert to their fallen friend—but it appears the Kotowicz story was bigger than the Seattle label.Now, non-label heavy hitters, including Muse, Foo Fighters, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, The Dead Weather, and Rolling Stones have contributed to an auction to raise money for the Kotowicz family. Band of Horses have released a video that gives a window into the making of their new album, Infinite Arms. Recording started in October, 2008 at Muscle Shoals in Alabama. It took nearly two years to complete Infinite Arms and the video shows footage of how the album came to life. We have the video.

By the third day of SXSW the lack of sleep was really catching up to us. As with the day before, we had to wake up early again to conduct a photo-shoot (three of them in fact), which again left no time for day parties. By the time the evening rolled around we were already burnt out, but still game to check out more bands. Alas, Friday offered little other than underwhelming sets, including ones by a shy Swedish duo and a surprisingly dark hyped Brooklyn band. More
