John Carpenter, alongside his musical counterparts Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, have shared “The Junk Yard,” a new song from the soundtrack to the upcoming film Halloween Ends, which will be out on October 14 via Sacred Bones. Carpenter has also shared a reworking of Boy Harsher’s “Burn It Down,” which will be featured on the duo’s forthcoming EP of the same name, also out on October 14. More

A new musical piece from the soundtrack, “The Procession,” has been shared, along with an original song by Northampton-based electronic duo Boy Harsher (Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller) entitled “Burn It Down.” More

Funny how a guy can put out a decades-spanning greatest hits record just two years after releasing his debut album. Of course, we’re speaking only on technicality here—the filmmaker-turned-rocker has been composing scores for his movies since 1974’s Dark Star. This anthology record comprises the themes from 13 of his films, re-recorded with the family band who collaborated with him on his two Lost Themes LPs.
